President of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhaniya congratulated Vladimir Putin on the national holiday – the Day of National Unity.
Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich!
I congratulate you and all the people of multinational Russia on the Day of National Unity. Despite its relative youth, this public holiday has become one of the most respected holidays in Russia. It goes back centuries and embodies the heroic history of the Russian state. At the beginning of the 17th century, the unity of people of different classes and nationalities, united in the one people’s militia, made it possible to liberate Moscow from the Polish invaders. Even in our time, this historic feat serves as the basis for the confident development of the Russian state.
For the Republic of Abkhazia, the strengthening and development of traditionally friendly ties with Great Russia is a priority. Our people are grateful to the people and the leadership of the Russian Federation for ensuring peace in our land and for offering us comprehensive help and support.
On this holiday, I wish you, dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, more success in serving the Fatherland, and peace, well-being, and prosperity to the Russian citizens.
President of the Republic of Abkhazia
