In connection with the adoption of a decision by the People’s Assembly-Parliament concerning the address to the President with a request to resign voluntarily, the press service of the President has made a statement.
The text states:
“The decision that was reached by the Parliament, despite its stated intention of avoiding future destabilization, can only aggravate the socio-political situation and lead to irreversible consequences for the state.
Opposition representatives have stated many times that they would wait for the decision of the Supreme Court concerning the results of the elections and would act strictly within legal limits. When the opposition has understood that its demands in the Court will be unproductive, it has decided to use radical methods.
In order to achieve all-national accord and preserve stability, the President considers it necessary to discuss all questions at the negotiating table”.
