On May 11, President of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khadzhimba went on a working trip to Gudauta at the end of the meeting with the Head of the Gudauta District.

The President examined the building of the Museum of the Patriotic War of the People of Abkhazia of 1992-1993 that is being renovated. Head of construction works, director of the “Gotika” Ltd. Igor Amichba informed the President about insufficient funds to continue the construction works.

The President instructed the Prime Minister to find the financial resources to continue the work next week. Prime Minister Gennady Gagulia requested the head of construction works to present the estimate of expenses for each subsequent month.

The Head of State examined the waterfront, where as part of the social youth initiative, events were organised to clean the territory and to lay tiles. The Head of State praised the efforts of young people and stressed that the Administration of the District should offer them support.

“The initiative of young people participating in the beautification of the city is an example for many. Such initiatives should be supported”, - said the President.

The President also examined the progress of the work on the replacement of water supply and sanitation systems on the Dzidzaria Street.

“All these works should be completed by the start of the festive days. The city should be completely different by the anniversary dates. Our task is to make this happen. Issues of financing and supervision should be solved. The state does everything possible using the small resources that it has. Our citizens should also understand that one must pay for the land, for the electricity used. This process should be reciprocal”, - said the Head of State.
