On January 5, President of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khadzhimba came out to talk to the people who have gathered in front of the People’s Assembly-Parliament in connection with the handover of G. Lukava to Georgia.
The President remarked that the decision that was made does not contradict the Constitution and the laws of the state. He also said that a parliamentary committee is at work at the moment. It examines the documents related to the handover of G. Lukava to the Georgian side. The committee’s conclusion will be heard and adopted.
Earlier the President attended a special session of the People’s Assembly-Parliament and explained to the members of Parliament his position in connection with the handover of G. Lukava to Georgia.
