On June 1, President of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khadzhimba congratulated the citizens of the state on the International Children’s Day.
The congratulation states, in particular:
I sincerely congratulate you on the International Children’s Day!
Since 1950, the International Children’s Day is celebrated annually in more than 30 countries around the world. It is one of the most significant international holidays.
This day reminds us of the necessity to respect the rights of the child, to develop civil society institutions and to preserve moral values.
It is us, the adults, who are responsible for the young generation, and we can make childhood bright and carefree. Today, the state is doing everything possible for young citizens of Abkhazia to be healthy, to receive quality education, to be able to participate in sports, creative arts, to develop spiritually and morally. Our common goal is to prepare a beneficial and healthy environment to enable them to achieve success in society.
I am certain that our children will bring glory to our republic in creative arts, science, art and culture, and that they will succeed in realising their creative potential fully.
I would like to express sincere gratitude to the parents, grandparents, teachers and all those who commit their entire soul to the upbringing of the young generation.
I wish you peace, great opportunities and great achievements.
May every child feel protected, needed, loved and endlessly happy.
