On April 28, President of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khadzhimba visited an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary since the birth of the national writer Bagrat Shinkuba in the village of Zvandripsh.
The President thanked the teachers and students of the school for organising a cultural program about the work of Bagrat Shinkuba. The Head of State remarked that such events demonstrate that the state has a future, that it has prospects. He also commented on the importance of the national language in the successful development of the republic.
Head of the school in the village of Zvandripsh Djuma Gabunia expressed gratitude to the Head of State for his assistance in the acquisition of computer equipment and books.
At the end of the festive event, the President, Bagrat Shinkuba’s daughter Biana, an Abkhazian writer Mushni Lasuria, Head of the Council of Elders Apollon Shinkuba and the Minister for Education and Science Adgur Kakoba planted a tree in the yard of the village administration.
