At the start of the meeting, the President greeted Terentiy Chania and congratulated him on his birthday.
“80 years is a considerable age, but you are full of energy. I am sure that for many years to come, you will continue to give knowledge to our people, our young generation. Your achievements were also considerable in the years of the Soviet Union, they were reflected in your work in those institutions, which were headed by you. Your achievements continue to be significant today as well, in the years of a new stage in the state building process”, - said the President.
The President commented on Terentiy Chania’s work as head of the republic’s main book publisher “Alashara”. Terentiy Chania’s lyric poems and songs based on them are being played all over the country and are loved by people.
Terentiy Chania thanked the Head of State for the welcome.
“Since ancient times, it has been said that while giving away lands, God has given us the land he was saving for himself. Therefore, the Lord wants the people who live here to follow his commandments, to be intelligent and free of envy, and to know the value of true friendship. You are the Head of our state, and I want your honesty and kindness to be known by everyone, and I want Abkhazia to prosper”, - said Terentiy Chania.
