President Raul Khadzhimba attended the presentation of young people’s social projects, which was held as part of the activities of the School of Social and Political Activists “Apyza – 2016”, State Committee for Youth Policy.
The activists of the School presented social projects, on which they worked in the process of their training. Among them are socially significant projects on the protection of the environment, development and popularisation of the Abkhazian language, cultural, sports and charity projects.
Raul Khadzhimba praised the works of young people. Some of the projects will be implemented with support from the State Committee for Youth Policy. With regards to the environmental project “We appreciated the World”, it will be given presidential financial support.
After the presentation, the President talked to young people. Raul Khadjimba answered to many questions, related to the economic, social and socio-political life of the state. Young people were interested to know more about the government’s efforts to unite our society. The President stressed that without participation from young people in all the social and political processes, our state will not be able to cope with contemporary challenges. “Our state is interested in bringing up young and enthusiastic leaders, who will participate directly in the process of state-building”, - remarked Raul Khadzhimba.
The “Apyza-2016” project aims to identify young people's leadership skills and to develop their teamwork skills. Motivated, interested and determined young people participated in this project.
Participating in the event were the Vice President Vitali Gabnia and First Vice-Premier Shamil Adzinba, and Advisers to the President Amiran Lagvilava and Vianor Bebia.
