President Raul Khadzhimba congratulated the President of Nagorno-Karabakh Bako Sahakyan on the Day of the Establishment of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
In particular, the congratulatory telegram states that:
“On September 2, 1991, the people of Nagorno-Karabakh realised their inalienable right to self-determination by proclaiming the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic as a sovereign and independent state.
Today, Nagorno-Karabakh is developing in a successful and dynamic way. While solving difficult tasks concerning the defence of its sovereignty, the Republic is engaged in an open dialogue with the international society, confidently taking part in the international processes.
I am certain that the kind and friendly relations between the nations of Abkhazia and Nagorno-Karabakh will continue to develop and grow stronger”.
