Raul Khadzhimba met with the leader of the All-Russia public charity foundation “Russian Children’s Fund” Albert Lihanov and his deputy on international affairs Dmitry Lihanov.
In the course of the meeting the issues of creation of the charity foundation “Abkhazian Children’s Fund” was discussed.
Albert Lihanov told the President that the branch of the all-union Children Fund existed and actively worked in Abkhazia in the past.
Raul Khadzhimba noted that this kind of initiatives are important and will receive state support. The President highly appreciated the assistance that “Russian Childern’s Fund” provided during difficult war and post-war periods.
The participants to the meeting also discussed the opportunity to restore with joint efforts the Republican Children’s Library, the protection of children’s rights and other important issues.
The head of the state also underlined the importance of strengthening humanitarian ties between Abkhazia and Russia.
The Adviser of the President Vladimir Zantariya was also present to the meeting.
