The Trade Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Russian Federation Oleg Bartsits informed those present that a month and a half ago in Moscow, in the biggest in Europe trade centre “Food City”, a trade house “Abkhazia” has been opened. Thus, Abkhazian products received an opportunity to reach not only the Russian market but also the markets of another 18 countries represented in the “Food City”.
According to Oleg Bartsits, this opportunity arose as a result of signing an agreement with the Eurasian Business Coalition.
“We hope that this will make our cooperation more practical. Our task is to help small companies develop by giving them access to the external market”, - said the Trade Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Russian Federation.
Adgur Lushba remarked that it is necessary to coordinate the actions of the producers by developing an efficient plan to export the products with the help of state institutions.
Oleg Bartsits remarked that with the creation of the enterprise “Abkhazprodexport” under the Ministry of Agriculture, this process should become simpler.
He also said that many producers are already interested to know how to access the market.
Oleg Bartsits stressed that the trade house “Abkhazia” will be working in accordance with the plan developed by the Eurasian Business Coalition, that is as an open trend platform for producers.
He added that the duties of the trade house “Abkhazia” include the drawing up of a list of popular products which are produced in our Republic. This list will be passed on to the enterprise “Abkhazprodexport” for further work with the producers, the creation of consignments and the delivery to the buyer.
Oleg Bartsits remarked that the main criteria for the selection of products from Abkhazia are their competitiveness and quality.
Before reaching the market, all products will be thoroughly tested. They should also have the necessary documents.

Adgur Lushba stressed that every businessman has the right to independently access the market. The process of export is not to be monopolised. This plan is suggested in order for the producers to choose the most convenient form of export of their products and to simplify the process of delivery of the goods to the buyer. Besides, the enterprise “Abkhazprodexport” will offer assistance in the preparation of the necessary accompanying documents and permits.
According to Oleg Bartsits, 18 Abkhazian brands are already represented on the shelves of the trade house “Abkhazia”. It is necessary to support and develop them and to expand the range of products from Abkhazian producers.

This information is to be passed on to the enterprise “Abkhazprodexport” and the trade house “Abkhazia”.
