On October 18, Vice-President of the Republic of Abkhazia Vitali Gabnia had a meeting with the winners of the International Festival “Salute of Talents” ensemble “Adaul”.

The Vice-President congratulated the members of the ensemble and wished them further successes.

“We are happy to have such wonderful and talented young people. On the part of the state, we will do everything necessary for your further development and growth”, - said Vitali Gabnia.

Head of the ensemble Esnat Sangulia told the Vice-President that for a long time, “Adaul” was maintained with the funds of the parents. He thanked the leadership of the state for the help, thanks to which an opportunity arose to participate in the International Festival “Salute of Talents”.

Esnat Sangulia said that at the festival which took place this year in March in Saint Petersburg, the ensemble won first place and received the grand prix of the festival.

“In October, we were one of the ensembles which were invited to the superfinal of the festival. We performed on the first day, and our guys showed their best. However, on the second day, we were not allowed to participate in the finals. As one member of the jury said, the reason for this was the fact that we showed the flag of our country on stage, thus politicising the event”, - said Esnat Sangulia.

He stressed that in the rules of the festival, no ban was specified concerning the use of state symbols during the performance.

Esnat Sangulia remarked that the audience appreciated the performance. Moreover, as Head of the ensemble, he was given a grant to participate in the forum which will take place next year in Saint Petersburg.
